“Best I Ever Had” by Drake

I have a confession to make. I’m a huge Degrassi fan. If you’re not aware, it’s this Canadian TV show that is basically Saved By The Bell on crack. While we had caffeine pills and pimple cream that turned faces maroon, they have shankings, pregnancies galore, and sex bracelets. It goes there. Now, Jimmy is a character on the show who is shot by a crazed classmate (school shootings, check!) and becomes wheelchair bound (handicapped people, check!) and can no longer play basketball so he follows his rap dreams (hmmm… this one is similar to SBTB. Zack Attack anyone?!?). Now life is imitating art as Jimmy is a rapper in real life named Drake. Not sure he wants the Degrassi thing tagging along as it doesn’t really fit with his 3 million dollar deal and Cash Money Records lifestyle. But I think it’s the best part! Doesn’t hurt that I absolutely love the song. But I gotta go with the explicit version. Degrassi would want it that way…

    Ahhhh YAY!!! I am so happy you posted this song, I absolutely love it. And when I asked Ilya if he ever watched Degrassi, he was like… “what are you talking about?”.. must educate the boy. I’m excited to see what Drake/Aubrey Graham/JIMMY comes out with next. I do gotta say though, I am almost ALWAYS in favor of the explicit version of things, but this is one where I like the edit better. “You da you da besssss” hahaha
