So I first wrote about this band almost a year ago to the day, freaking out that they were unsigned. Then I did some more freaking out. Then I tried to see them at SXSW, but they were running uber late and I was caught up in a Lykke Li fiasco (aren’t I always?) and didn’t make it to their performane.
Well now I have a new reason to freak out (seems to be a common theme - the press release I got even mentioned a lot of freaking out by various people). Their new album Heavenly Bender is coming out September 2! And they’ve released a track from it! And it’s amazing!!!

Oh and I found out that North Street Records snatched them up. Although I’m not sure if it’s a full blown deal as the Sam Champion website says: “Heavenly Bender will be released this summer by our good friends at North Street Records…” I don’t know man… Or maybe I’m just forever intrigued by their label situation. I need to stop.
