SXSW Day Two - Thursday

4:30 pm - Sitting in on the panel about music as a subscription and just heard this stat. 48.5% of the music sold at stores like walmart comes from the top 100 artists. 33% of the music sold at itunes comes from the top 100 artists. And that number for peer to peer is 28%. So when people are given the chance to experiment and try new things, they do. Very refreshing.

3:50 pm - Listening to Lykke Li outside of the Emo’s Annex tent. She sounds really really good. Maybe I’l just have to go ghetto style like this the rest of the day… Thinking about heading to a panel first though…

3:35 pm - Not at Stubb’s. Double :(

3:25 pm - Tried to get into Filter forr Duke Spirit. Photocopy failed :( Off to Stubb’s I go!

2:00 pm - Sorry I left you guys hanging last night. My ID vanished in Stubb’s and then my phone died :( I’m about to go check there once more, pick up the faxed copy of my passport that my brother sent over, and if all else fails, my passport is arriving via fed ex tomorrow. If I don’t find my ID or the fax copy doesn’t work, this may be a very boring live blog day since you need an ID to get in pretty much everywhere b/c of all the free booze. I’ll keep you posted…
