"A Postcard To Nina" by Jens Lekman

It really is a shame that I’m just now discovering Jens Lekman. I don’t know that words can describe his music, but I’ll try. This Swede effortlessly blends indie pop, rock, and elements you wouldn’t expect. I swear in the first 30 seconds of “I’m Leaving You Because I Don’t Love You”, I was half expecting my iPod to tell me it was playing a new Jay-Z song. Some of this stuff sounds pure Top 40 on its base. Then Jens comes in with his Kermit-y old school vocals with a few additional quirks to make the music his own. Other songs sound straight up 50’s or 60’s era pop/rock. This album is basically a mix of GREAT music. Night Falls Over Kortedala was released October 9th and is popping up across Top 10 lists everywhere right now, so I highly recommend picking it up…
