Usually I would hate on this band. I must be becoming a softie, because I don’t! But if I did, these would be the reasons:
1. They are THE buzz band right now. I don’t even like that phrase. And usually when you become a buzz band, that’s your biggest accomplishment (Cajun Dance Party anyone?). The hipsters like you and then you’re yesterday’s news. I try to not even get in from the beginning. I’m sorry, but I like my talent lasting. You gotta be really good for me to like you as a buzz band.
2. Um, is it just me, or is their name completely un-pc?
3. What is this? The longest-song-title-ever competition? Well nice try, but you lose. Sufjan owns that crown. Don’t even try to touch him kids.
4. Pitchfork loves them. I do not love Pitchfork. Follow the logic.
5. They are playing at CMJ. I am not there. tear. But I will be at SXSW this year! Yayyyy!
