Have you ever completely forgotten about an album/artist that you love? Well that just happened to me. Maybe it’s because I have almost 60 gigs of music on my computer and can’t possibly remember it all, but this was an album I LOVED last summer. Josh Rouse’s Subtitulo. It was a new direction for him that most of his fans turned away from (doesn’t that almost always happen when an artist tries something new? see my Rilo Kiley post from last week). Well, all summer long I played this CD. It was great at the beach and driving around in my car. Then today I looked at the new music on iTunes and saw an album from Josh Rouse. I didn’t know who that was (I think because his name always makes me think of a Red Wings player). When I looked at my AllMusicGuide new release newsletter and saw the mention of his older albums in the description, it blew my mind. I had COMPLETELY forgotten about this guy and his music. That’s probably not a good sign, but I STILL love the album. Well, I’ve now downloaded his new CD so hopefully that will stick in my mind a little better.
Here’s the video for my other favorite song off of Subtitulo, “Quiet Town”:

I’m a really big fan of his first two albums, 1972 and Nashville. You should check those out if you haven’t!
