I’m pretty much in love with every song on this album. I kept changing my mind about which song to post, but decided on this one b/c it garners the most buzz with it’s heavy subject matter. I am SOOOO mad that I missed this live. I heard it was amazing and I can only imagine that it was. I just found out that he’s signed to Columbia. Hopefully something will come of it. David is one of those singer songwriters that you can FEEL the emotion in his songs (like Ray LaMontagne or Damien Rice). Ignore the Parental Advisory sticker (probably only there for the song “Cheer Up You Miserable Fuck”) and get this album. Probably one of the best singer songwriters I’ve heard in a while.
p.s. He also has 2 tracks on a new indie Christmas album called “It’s Not Like Christmas” and has some live recordings on iTunes from his performance at ACL
