Is it possible to become obsessed with a movie before it’s even out? If you ask the Snakes On A Plane guys, then I guess the answer is yes. Or you could ask me b/c I’ve fallen ill with trailer fever. I am IN LOVE with the Marie Antoinette trailers. I think they are so beautiful and interesting and make me so excited for this Friday. I was on the imdb page for this movie and some guy was talking about how the MA trailers were the worst of the year and completely sucked. Ok, are you serious? This guy must live on a farm and is confused by the lack of explosions, girls in bikinis, and a tired old soundtrack. I LOVE that Sofia Coppola juxtaposed the old story with new music and let the actors speak without accents. I think it’s so intriguing and helps the audience connect to a time that is completely foreign to our society today. I guess what I’m obsessed with are the TV commercials, not the actual trailer. My favorite is the one with this Strokes song in it. Sadly, it’s not on YouTube. But this is my second fave…
