I didn’t hear much buzz around his new album… leading me to believe that it probably wouldn’t be that good. I was pretty much right. I mean, it’s not bad, but it’s definitely not great. For some reason, this feels like his “Stand Up,” to be put in DMB terms. For the non Daveheads, that means that he held himself back, so the album is just kind of mediocre. I do really like this song and a few others as well, but for the most part nothing really jumps out at me as crazy good. Maybe I’m just getting tired of the Mayer. Who knows. I’ll still listen to this album, but I’m not going to rave about it like I may some others.
