Blogger has not been my friend lately. It’s been acting up so I apologize that this post is coming so late (I’ll make sure to do 2 posts today to make up for it). Well, yesterday morning, I woke up and checked the DMB setlist from the night before when they played in Detroit. It was AMAZING. They debuted this song, played the other 2 new songs that they’ve debuted this tour (”Idea of You” and “Sister”), played “Pig” which is pretty rare, “Raven” which is even more rare (I’ve heard it once in 21 shows), “JTR” which they brought back this tour (last played in 2001), and “Dreaming Tree” which I’ve never heard live and is probably in my top 3 wish-list of songs to hear live (”Halloween” will always be #1 and don’t let me get into my bad luck with how close I’ve come to seeing it… damn D.C. show instead of MSG). Anyhow, this new song is REALLY good. I thought Stand Up was a little too commercial, everything a little bit too structured. This new song is still a little radio friendly but mixed with that quirky side of old school Dave. Take a listen on this MySpace page created by a fan. You can also listen to “Idea of You” which is good as well. So excited for this tour, the sets have been awesome so far… but sad I have to wait until August
