This is part of the score from Brokeback Mountain. I had heard the song before during awards shows and whatnot and liked it, but I just watched the movie and now it has that connection. I know, I’m probably the last person on earth to see this movie and so my comments are most likely tired. But wow… I loved how it had such a somber tone that allowed you to really just focus on the feelings of the characters without distractions. And the music fit so seamlessly with the story. What a beautiful movie and score…
Also, download “The Maker Makes” by Rufus Wainwright. It plays over the credits and is another great song. Rufus is one of my all time favorites and I’m glad he was able to contribute some of his music to this film.

You are so right… this song epitomizes the film so well, the bleak, lonely, but beautiful landscape and the love that could never be… Wow, I sound way overdramatic. But I like this choice, and also the fact that it’s an instrumental. Way to switch it up LCook!
